SUBJECT: PS41 PTA Bulletin - Week of 12/12/22

PS41 Families!

We know you all have long lists of to-dos this December, and it's easy for things to slip through the cracks. So we are bumping to the top a few meaningful items with upcoming deadlines:

  • Place orders for class and individual photos by tomorrow in order to make the purchase eligible towards the PTA fundraiser
  • Contribute by Friday to the holiday gifting pools for PS41 staff and teachers. Gifts will be distributed next week.
  • Address any loose ends with the Lost and Found and/or Book Fair.
  • Check your Class Parent or Teacher emails for next week's family morning schedule.

Have a great week!

Sincerely,

Sara Tranter & Melissa Valdes, PS41 PTA Co-Presidents (pta@ps41.org)

There are 3 collections to celebrate ALL of our PS41 staff this holiday season.

We will be closing the funds on Friday, December 16th, so kindly donate before then so we can distribute next week.

Family Giving -- Help Us Meet Our Goal

Thank you to all who have donated throughout the year; we are happy to announce our GivingTuesday campaign brought us 5% closer to our goal. Early giving is critical to help make up the difference between the NYC budget and what we offer as the full PS41 experience.

We still have a long way to go to fulfill the school budget for 2022-23, so please keep up the giving momentum by donating now. Don't forget, your donation is tax deductible and eligible for corporate matching.

DONATE HERE
Without your investment, PS41 can't provide:
  • top-tier reading and writing programs like Fundations and Heggerty
  • subscriptions to IXL and Brain Pop to boost academic skills
  • STEM programming, Green Roof maintenance and Amplify Science curriculum
  • Chess instruction and music programming for 3K-3rd grade
  • cultural partnerships with The Whitney Museum and Jazz at Lincoln Center
  • robust and consistent school counseling staff
  • dedicated substitutes in the absence of teachers who ensure continuity of learning and ease transitions
  • lice checks(!!!), health courses, and healthy eating initiatives
  • AND SO MUCH MORE!
We are targeting 100% participation!

We understand each family has different circumstances and ever dollar counts; but a contribution of $800 per student would get us to our goal of a fully-funded budget and program!

You (and/or your extended family, friends, neighbors, etc) can Donate Online or send a check into the PTA office.

Review our Family Giving Flyer to learn more and, if you have any questions, please email FamilyGiving@PS41.org
